"Great hotel with large comfortable rooms and great staff!"
This hotel has very large, very comfortable quiet rooms, and was the best accommodation we had in our 6 week trip to Europe. The staff were amazing, and helped with everything, but particularly explaining the local transport options to us. The hotel is outside the old city centre, but is actually well-located both to and from the airport (directly by train), and to the city centre and museum district by a short tram ride. The hotel sells transport tickets/passes at the desk. When we were leaving. the woman on the desk explained to us that there had been an electricity failure overnight and most transport in Amsterdam was cancelled, then she helped us find the one train that was still running, and said if it was cancelled, come back and she would find us other transport to the airport. Thanks to her clear advice, we opted to negotiate the transport chaos (in -4 degree weather) and made it to the airport in time. We would certainly have missed our international flight without her great directions since in the confusion everything had reverted to Dutch only. There is also a very good Indonesian restaurant just around the corner.

"Really happy!"
Lovely visit at Hampshire hotel, everything you would want. Beds are very comfortable and the room is clean. Very close to the tram stops for travelling into the centre. Only negative is low shower pressure, expensive breakfast and only a couple of British channels on the television. Would definitely stay again if I return to Amsterdam!

"Very good stay, near the center of Amsterdam"
Room very big and perfectly clean. Quiet. Near train station, tram and bus stop. I stained 2 night and have a good breakfast. You can also rent a bike directly at reception. Very Amsterdam proud decoration.

"Worth visiting"
Very nice, cosy hotel, very clean with quick service. The breakfast was satisfactory, the location near Oosterpark is ideal. It was overall very good value for money. The best advice i could give is to rent the hotel's bikes and cycle to the city center

"Amazing as always!"
It was our 3rd time in the Manor hotel and the service, room and the whole hotel were PERFECTION! The team took well care of us and our Junior Suite was just amazing! We love a tub in our rooms after the cold outside, just a perfect match to relax :) The hotel is so close to the city center, the tram line 9 just in front of the hotel - it takes you about 10 minutes to the main attractions, nice walks - the location is calme and so nice, a real Amsterdam feelig, we love this place! Thank you so much for everthing, you have been perfect :) See you hopefully soon in the near future for our next trip! Keep going as great as you are, we really recommend !!!!

Amsterdam

Museums

There are regular exhibitions in the 17th Century Huize Frankendael, each including a lecture and debate programme and, on occasion, concerts. Take a relaxed walk through Frankendael Park with its formal garden, landscaped garden, lawn for sunbathing and marsh. In the Tropenmuseum the special tales you hear and objects you see teach you something about daily life in other cultures. The Hermitage Amsterdam mounts impressive exhibitions from the Hermitage in Russia’s St. Petersburg. Learn about Jewish culture, religion and history at the Jewish Historic Museum.

Markets

The Pure Markt is held regularly in Park Frankendael. Here you can buy tasty food and drinks and there is theatre, music and a merry-go-round. The famous flea market at Waterlooplein is one the most authentic of Amsterdam’s attractions. You could spend hours looking for vintage clothing or bric-a-brac. Go to the lively multicultural Dappermarkt for fresh herring or döner kebab. The iconic flower market on the Singel in the centre of Amsterdam is where you can buy flowers, plants, bulbs and souvenirs.

Hotel Staff

Amsterdam, the city in which I live. A city that never sleeps, but also a city that allows you to be just on your own enjoying a great cup of coffee. I would love to show you "my" Amsterdam. I look forward to welcoming you at Hampshire Hotel - The Manor Amsterdam!
